“Not just school vocabulary. I could talk and not just be a textbook. I could be a person speaking in Portuguese.”
Charlie · American

You understood your teacher perfectly. And no other Brazilian on Earth.

That’s not a coincidence and it’s not your fault. Your teacher slowed down, used textbook forms, and spoke a careful Portuguese that exists in exactly one place, the room you were paying to be in. So you built a skill that works in a classroom and collapses in a bar.

Here’s what actually happened: Portuguese has a written register and a spoken one. Every course teaches the written one, because it’s the one with tidy rules. Then Brazil answers you in the other.

What you were taught
What you’ll actually hear
Você está bem?
Cê tá bem?
Estou indo agora
Tô indo agora
Para o centro
Pro centro
Não é verdade?
Né?

Neither column is wrong. The left is what you’d write in an email; the right is what comes out of a Brazilian’s mouth. You were only ever given the left, so the right arrives as noise, even when you know every word in it. The reductions follow rules. They’re learnable. Nobody ever taught you them, because they never get written down.

In the video I teach you the first three, tô, cê and né, whole, for free, before I ask you for anything. That lesson is the sample. The course is the other fifty-eight.

The 90 days, phase by phase.

Fifteen to twenty minutes a day, in one order that builds. Every phase trains a reflex, not a rule, and ends with something you do with a real Brazilian. Not a quiz.

1Weeks 1 to 3 · 17 lessons

Survive

Trains

Mouth mechanics and the spoken contractions. The five sounds English doesn’t have, how to read any word out loud, and the forms Brazilians actually say: tô, cê, né, pra.

You can now: walk into a bar, order two beers, ask for the bill and leave. No script, no rehearsal in the car.

2Weeks 4 to 7 · 18 lessons

Connect

Trains

Time and story reflexes. The one future Brazilians use, the two pasts and the rule that picks between them, directions, opinions. Said at speaking speed, not built in your head.

You can now: tell someone about your day, ninety seconds, past tense, no notes. And follow the answer coming back at you.

3Weeks 8 to 10 · 16 lessons

Belong

Trains

Killing the freeze reflex. Fillers, reactions, emotion, texting and voice notes, the bar, football, dating, saying no. The noises that make a table treat you as present.

You can now: hear five things in a row and react to each one in Portuguese before you have time to translate.

4Weeks 11 to 13 · 9 lessons

Sound Native

Trains

Catching native speed. Connected speech, intonation, crushed syllables, the accent fixes, and the tenses that mark a real speaker: the subjunctives and the conditional.

You can now: talk for two minutes about something you care about, no script, no stopping. Then hold the 15-minute conversation at the dinner table. That is the one the guarantee is written on.

60 lessons. 13 weeks. 15 to 20 minutes a day. Miss a day and nothing breaks: the app picks up where you were.

Not a course. A system:
lessons, software, and a room with Brazilians in it.

A folder of videos leaves you alone the moment it ends. This doesn’t. The lessons teach it, the app makes you say it and corrects you, and the room answers what neither can, every day, until it’s yours.

The course

60 lessons, in the one order that builds. Spoken register from lesson one, the sounds, the reductions, the three-form verb system Brazilians actually use. Every lesson ends in drills you say out loud, before the answer appears. All sixty are there on day one.

The app

It corrects your mouth, every day. Say the line. It scores you syllable by syllable against a native model and names the exact sound that gave you away. 568 drills on a real spaced-repetition engine, you never decide what to study, you open it and it tells you.

The room

When the app can’t answer, a Brazilian can. A private community with me and native speakers in it, not a forum of beginners guessing. Post the sentence, the voice note, the message that read as rude. A person answers.

1Native audio playsDuas cervejas, por favor. You hear it at the speed it is said in a bar.
2You say it into the mic
Out loud, before the answer shows. Nobody watching.
3Scored syllable by syllable
duascervejas
The e in cerveja was closed. Open it, like the e in bed.

This is not a folder of videos. It is a speaking gym: 568 drills, every one heard, spoken and scored.

The 90-Day Conversation Guarantee.

Follow the daily 15-minute drills for 90 days. If you can’t jump on a real 15-minute conversation with a native Brazilian without locking up, send me a message. I will personally coach you 1-on-1 until you can, or give you 100% of your money back.

The drills are the condition, and the app keeps the record, so nobody argues about it later. If you don’t do the drills, the guarantee doesn’t apply. And inside the first seven days, for any reason at all, you get it back too. Both, in writing.

Before you decide.

Everything people ask me before they buy. The first five are answered out loud in the video too.

I’ve tried before, apps, a class, a tutor. Nothing stuck.

Nothing stuck because nothing you tried was a system. An app drilled you words with no one to correct your mouth. A class taught you the written register and sent you home alone. A tutor gave you an hour and then the week went silent. Each one was a single piece, and a single piece doesn’t survive contact with an actual Brazilian.

This is the three pieces together, every day: the lessons teach you the spoken version; the app makes you say it out loud and tells you which sound was wrong; and when you hit the thing you don’t understand, a Brazilian in the room answers you instead of you quietly giving up. What failed before was the gap between sessions. There is no gap here.

I don’t have the time.

Twenty minutes a day, and none of it is planning. A lesson is ten minutes. The app already knows which drills you’re about to forget and hands you exactly those, ten more minutes, no deciding. That’s the difference between this and every resource that left you staring at a list wondering where to start.

There are no live classes to attend and no schedule to fall behind. Miss a week and nothing breaks, the app picks up where you were, the hard cards are still waiting, and there’s no streak to lose. The live parts, the intake onboarding, the monthly Q&A, are recorded and posted in the room, so missing one costs you nothing. Two or three lessons a week plus the drills gets most people through Phase 1 in about three weeks.

That’s a lot of money for a course.

It would be, for a course. This is the course, the software, and the support, and it’s priced against what those cost separately. If one payment is the problem, there are two plans: 2 × $155 or 3 × $115, monthly, and access opens on the first one. Regular enrollment is $397. The current cohort gets in at $297 because I’m still capping groups small and reviewing voice notes myself; once this intake fills, the next one pays the regular price.

A tutor is $25 to 30 an hour; forty hours, the ground this covers, is $1,200, it teaches the classroom register, and you own nothing when it ends. Pronunciation-scoring apps alone run $10 to 15 a month, forever, and none of them teach Brazilian. A community with native speakers answering questions is the part most people pay a tutor for by the hour. Here all three are one payment of $297, twelve months of access, with every update in that year. And if 90 days of the drills don’t get you into a real conversation, I coach you until they do, or you get it back.

I’m too old for this. I’m bad at languages.

“Bad at languages” almost always means somebody once made you speak before you were ready, in front of people, it went badly, and you drew a permanent conclusion from one afternoon. This system is built to never put you there again.

You produce before you analyse, out loud, alone, in your kitchen, and the app corrects you with no one watching. It scores the syllable; it has no opinion about you. By the time you say the sentence to a human, you’ve already said it fifty times to a machine that told you exactly what to fix. And the first humans you say it to are in the room: native speakers whose job there is to help, not to be polite. Age has nothing to do with any of that. The order does.

Is it Brazilian or European Portuguese?

Brazilian, only, and specifically the spoken register Brazilians use with each other, not the formal one they write in.

One thing the internet gets wrong: Duolingo does teach Brazilian Portuguese. What it teaches is the written register, full forms, careful speech. A real version of the language. Just not the one that comes out of anybody’s mouth.

I’m a total beginner. Or I already studied some. Does either break it?

Neither. From zero, Lesson 1 orients you and the sound block teaches letter-to-sound rules before anything else, and you never have to unlearn the written register everyone else has to undo.

Already studied? Phase 1 reframes what you know into the spoken model, which is much faster than starting over. If you can conjugate but can’t follow a conversation, you’re exactly who this is built for.

I speak Spanish. Can’t I just wing it?

You’ll be understood in a shop. You won’t be in the room, and Brazilians hear it instantly.

Spanish hands you the vocabulary shortcut, then works against you on the two things that matter most here: the vowels, a different system entirely, and the nasals, which Spanish doesn’t have. Spanish speakers move fastest through grammar and slowest through pronunciation, so the pronunciation lab matters more for you, not less. And there’s a Phase 1 lesson that does nothing but convert what you already have.

I don’t have any Brazilians to practise with.

That’s the normal case, and it’s what this is built for. The drills are you and your mouth. The scripts have both sides written, so you rehearse the reply coming back at you, the part that actually causes the freeze. The lab is a practice partner that tells you what’s wrong, which is more than most humans do, because most humans are being polite.

And when you want a person, the room has native speakers in it.

How long until I can actually hold a conversation?

Ninety days of the daily drills, 15 minutes a day. Phase 1 (about three weeks) gets you through a trip: ordering, directions, small talk. Phases 2 and 3 are where you stop answering questions and start holding your side of the table.

What I won’t promise is “fluent in 30 days.” Nobody delivers that and you already know it. What I will promise, in writing: a real 15-minute conversation at 90 days, or I coach you until you get there, or you get your money back.

How long do I have access?

Twelve months from the day you join, to the drills, the software and the community, with every update released in that year. The plan is 90 days; twelve months is four times that. Room to finish, to run a phase again, and to keep the habit going with Brazilians in the room. Lifetime access is an invitation to start next year. A year with a plan inside it is how people actually finish.

What happens the moment I pay?

You land on a page with two links on it. One is the community, a private group where the 60 lessons live, in order, in the classroom tab; you request to join with the email you paid with and I approve you by hand, usually within a few hours. Two is the app, you create your account there in about thirty seconds with a code that page gives you, and it works immediately.

Bookmark that page and you can come back to it any time. Nothing is drip-fed and nothing waits for approval except the room itself, the app and the drills are open the minute you pay.

How do the guarantees actually work?

Two promises. First seven days: any reason, email me, full refund, no call, no form. Then the 90-day one: do the daily drills for 90 days (the app keeps the record), and if you can’t hold a real 15-minute conversation with a native Brazilian, message me. I coach you 1-on-1 until you can, or refund 100%. The whole policy is here.

Stop learning the version
nobody speaks.

Every month with the wrong model is real effort that doesn’t compound. Lesson 1 is seven minutes. Start tonight, and the next time a Brazilian speaks to you, hear the sentence instead of the noise.
